Learning Designers |

Learning Designers (LDs) can assist academic staff in designing resources for a blended learning environment. This involves creating alignment between learning activities (e.g. reading and reflection, quizzes, discussion, problem solving, peer support, guided writing etc…), content types (e.g. theories and concepts, case studies, tips, rich descriptors etc…) content delivery (e.g. print media, video and audio, on-line environments etc…) and learning outcomes (as determined by the course and unit outlines). LDs work in partnership with Learning and Teaching Consultants (LTCs) and the Faculty to support learning-centred unit design, and learning resource design across all media. The role of the Learning Designer is to assist academic staff with the practical implementation of policy direction and pedagogical approaches in teaching and learning through the design of learning environments and resources which aim to foster deep learning. Learning Designers will achieve these goals through a variety of interactions including contribution to course teams, staff development initiatives, development of resources to extend access to support, and consultation with individual academics.
