TALSS Evaluation Services supports academic staff in collecting, evaluating and responding to student evaluations of teaching, learning programs, and other aspects of the learning environment. Student evaluation feedback is used to identify teaching strengths and areas in need of improvement and is an integral part of staff professional development and PPR-AS cycles.

PLEASE NOTE: As of Semester 1, 2007, the Evaluation Management System (EMS) which was previously used to schedule Student Evaluations of Teaching (SET) and Student Evaluations of Units (SEU) has been replaced. The only centrally suppoerted survey instrument used to evaluate teaching and units at QUT is now the Learning Experience Survey (LEX).

Faculty Evaluation Delegates

Each Faculty has an evaluation delegate to assist staff with any issues they may be having relating to evaluations. Faculty Evaluation Delegates should be the first point of call in most circumstances and are able to assist with such problems as - Teaching staff not showing in LEX; Unit Coordinator information is incorrect; No access to LEX Reports; Gaining access to relevant LEX Reports; EMS Historical Reports etc.
