The Learning Experience Survey (LEX) |

The Learning Experience Survey (LEX) is the university-approved mandatory student evaluation survey for units and teaching, replacing SETs and SEUs, it began in Semester 1, 2007. Students are invited to participate online in the LEX each semester. The LEX is scheduled automatically in each teaching period for all units and the associated staff who are identified as teachers in those units. QUT policy requires that academic staff advise students of the changes made to units and teaching based on LEX feedback and you are required to report on your responses to LEX feedback in your PPR. Please note that LEX feedback is not considered a definitive source of data about the student experience and any reflection undertaken should also consider such factors as the unit, course, cohort size or history and response rates. LEX data should also be triangulated with other ways of knowing about teaching and learning in your units (eg. Customised Surveys, One Minute Papers, Peer Review - resources which are all available on this website).
