Scheme 'A' Priority Areas

The fellowship project should promote the improvement of teaching and student learning outcomes at QUT, relate to QUT’s Learning and Teaching Plan and contribute to enduring and embedded improvements to the learning environment for QUT students. Specifically, the project should target the scholarship, development, implementation and/or evaluation in one or more of the University’s strategic teaching and learning directions. 

Projects focused on the following are encouraged:

  • Strengthening Real World Learning (Work Integrated Learning and Transition to work)
  • Enhancing the First Year Student Experience
  • Improving Teaching Quality and Capability (particularly through Peer Review)
  • Integration and Management of Student Feedback

Nature of the Fellowship

Applications are invited from full-time QUT academic staff for a secondment as a QUT Teaching Fellow during 2007.

The Fellowship covers the full salary, including on-costs, of the Teaching Fellow to support full-time teaching and academic administration relief for up to one teaching semester. It is also possible to negotiate a secondment on a fractional basis for up to one year (February – November). The successful candidates will have the opportunity to undertake a scholarly project to enhance academic staff development, teaching practices and/or student learning outcomes at QUT.
