This program covers essential teaching and learning skills and explores strategies to develop effective teaching practices. The program consists of a two-day core workshop with follow-up practical group tasks throughout two semesters linked to investigations of teaching and learning.

Target group: academic staff with less than two years experience in teaching in a tertiary environment. In most cases staff will be invited to attend by their head of school.

  • Learning and learners in the university context
  • Strategies for student centred teaching
  • Curriculum design: generic attributes, Indigenous and international perspectives
  • Criterion referenced assessment
  • Evaluation of and reflection on teaching

Dates: 6–7 February (GP)COMPLETE , 26–27 June (KG)
