This program covers essential teaching and learning skills
and explores strategies to develop effective teaching
practices. The program consists of a two-day core workshop
with follow-up practical group tasks throughout two
semesters linked to investigations of teaching and learning.
Target group: academic staff with less than two years
experience in teaching in a tertiary environment. In most
cases staff will be invited to attend by their head of school.

- Learning and learners in the university context
- Strategies for student centred teaching
- Curriculum design: generic attributes, Indigenous and
international perspectives
- Criterion referenced assessment
- Evaluation of and reflection on teaching
